Which is a reasonable ask, in the age where Microsoft enabled people to use word processors and spreadsheet software easily for most tasks. Yes there are better solutions, but sometimes people just want to start. Which is how we got to this mess.

@onepict "Microsoft enabled" is rather poor wording. My first use of such software in consumer versions was pre-Microsoft. Microsoft's anticompetitive bundling practices is more about being coerced than enabled.
