@polymerwitch you've seemed to cast this as a profit drives innovation argument, which is totally untrue, with the aspect of the rich taking their toys (re. Infrastructure) with them, which is implausible.
Onerous environmental and labor regulations and wealth redistribution would drive much more innovation than the USA has seen in a long time.
The political climate is still at odds to the environmental climate.
