@ferds "Influencer culture" started long before social media. Hard to judge someone as "stupid", if you are at (equal or?) lower level of intelligence or knowledge attainment.
It would be nice if everyone understood the scientific process and only accepted peer reviewed science as influential. Unfortunately things like religion and pseudoscience are very popular, because they offer hope of an easier path to happiness.
Does "don't let people influence you" apply to yourself? >;->
@lwriemen Very good points. I see now my word choice was a bit crappy, stupid was definitely the wrong word to use. But I do see your point
