Should using Chrome be frowned upon?

@fatboy Using Chrome is currently as bad as using Internet Explorer in the late 90s.

There are a number of websites that flat out don't work with Firefox because people only make sure it works in Chrome due to its market dominance. We need people to use non-Chrome browsers enough that those who make websites can't skip making them usable by everyone.

@kungtotte @fatboy This is kind of just deserts. I remember when Netscape came into being. OS/2 had one of the fastest, standards-based, web browsers that was my preferred choice. Netscape started using non-standard rendering mechanisms, and web developers followed suit due to Netscape's market dominance (so did Microsoft, once they realized the internet was real). @lwriemen @fatboy don't blame me. I used Opera until they fell to Chrome's dominance. They consistently won the ACID challenge for CSS compliance with their homegrown engine...

@kungtotte @lwriemen I used to be an Opera fanboy. I recently changed to Palemoon and am not looking back. It's literally the only browser that's driven by a community and not based on Chromium
