One change that has happened in me is I'm far more worried about sustainability. I always liked the idea of self-sufficiency, the difference now is that I have a better understanding of the threat (climate change mostly)

@louispearson I also have a better understanding of why nothing has been done about it. @StrongTowns made me understand that our living places have been designed for automobiles for the past 60 years or so. Driving isn't a privilege for most; it's an obligation.

@louispearson I really hate being car-dependent. I really took California’s (well, SF Bay Area’s) public transportation for granted while I lived there. Living in Washington State for 20 years now, most public transport isn’t even accessible without a car. Yes, that’s what I said. 10 miles to nearest park and ride kind of defeats the purpose. No buses between home and work (4am start, too) so I HAVE to drive.

@eatsshootsknits I've had to deal with similar situations in the past. It sucks.
