@tschak While I understand your sentiment, I don't find the watch demographics quite as humbling as I do correcting/editing of the auto-generated closed captioning for my videos. Doing that always causes me to doubt that I was ever taught to speak correctly.

In either case, hang in there. Your highly focused current demographic means that you have a large opportunity for growth.

Just finished working on my latest video, which I do believe is my best one yet. In this video, I talk about and show of my prototype/mock-up for a browser/platform which is specifically designed with modern-retro systems in mind (i.e., , , and the like). Enjoy!

The F256 Jr. "the 2nd" can be pre-purchased for an intro price of $175 USD in pico-ITX form factor - it is a 65816 based retro computer packed to the GILLS with features, competing in the same 8/16 bit space as the X-16 and others.

@gardiner_bryant Not sure if this is what he meant, but any time I don't understand something that younger people say, I always consult urban dictionary:

Greetings all! I just published a new video a couple of days ago talking about how I got into the whole / scene. I talk a bit about and and even show off some prototype games I made for both systems. For my next video, which I haven't started working on yet, I plan to focus on my current modern retro projects which I plan to get running on both the as well as the . Anyhow, hope you all enjoy it!

@smoku@vivaldi.net I totally, gotta ask. When you finish designing your system are you planning to sell them? If you are, I would be highly interested.

Here’s the first engineering prototype of Pilet 5! It’s coming together nicely, but I’m still testing and making some tweaks. Next up, I need to work on coding the controllers. #raspberrypi #cyberdeck #console #linux #portable #computer #kde

@geerlingguy A stolen voice eh. Wasn't that the power move of some famous villainess within a kids cartoon that involved a mermaid...

I suppose they don't even feel like they are the bad guys. What interesting times we live in.

I might be strange, but I'm of the opinion that the world needs more modern content on YT. With that in mind, I decided to create a new channel and be part of the solution.

I plan to talk mainly about video game and code development for modern retro systems like the Commander and the Foenix . Be forewarned, I'm completely new at making videos so please excuse my lack of skill and experience in this area. Anyhow, here's my channel intro:

@dillera This may be a question with an obvious answer. But if it works with the will FujiNet also work with the upcoming ?

@1Bit I've already got one on pre-order... I think its got an amazing look and the specs look intriguing.

@artemist well, its super niche, but you could get into the modern retrogaming scene. Perhaps take a look at the , the , or the .Those machines definitely have unique aspects to them and the communities are really great.

@knightsofbytes I don't have a functioning NES anymore, but I do have have a new and functioning . I don't know if you've ever considered porting the game to that platform, but I for one would totally grab a copy.

Thanks and congrats on the milestone!

I gave the latest updates for the FujiNet project as part of the FujiNet State of the Union 2024 talk at VCF SouthWest.

This is an update to the talks that I gave at VCF SoCal, and VCF East, and shows the insane development pace of the project.

Highlights include talking about the generic bus interface under development, fujinet-lib, and more.

Bring-ups mentioned, Apple2, Mac 68K, TRS-80 Color Computer, Atari 2600, and more!

@fozztexx I'm not sure if it aged well and it was 90's not 80's, but as a kid I was quite font of this computer themed cartoon called 'Reboot'.

Maybe that might be worth looking at depending on what you need it for.

@mntmn Perhaps you could take a look at the keyboard configurator: system76.com/accessories/launc and then you can take an even closer look: github.com/pop-os/keyboard-con . I think that would be a great place to start.

@mntmn perhaps "Hold both to turn on." For the second line. Otherwise, I'd be pushing on the LCD screen instead. Unless that's what you mean.
