Friday musings: what’s the boost etiquette over here on the ‘don? Does it even make sense to boost a toot from someone who has way more followers than I do, since every boost is visible and it’ll just clutter up the timeline of those who have already seen it?
@wendynather There are plenty high follower accounts I don't follow because they post and boost so frequently that it would fill up my timeline, so having someone else I do follow boost important posts those accounts make *would* help in my use case.
I just wish Mastodon only showed boosted posts once instead of each time someone new you follow boosts the same post.
@kyle @wendynather so much +1 to the "show once" - if anything this reinforces the "show boost" point - as the downside of violating 'show once' might get it implemented...
