I'm thinking about my upcoming travel to @socallinuxexpo In a couple weeks (yay!), and I'm realizing I don't even remember how airports work. How long before our flights are we arriving these days? I assume it has gotten worse since covid, yes? I used to travel a ton. This feels so weird.
@katherined @socallinuxexpo My outbound flight is stupid early (6 a.m.) so I'm planning on being there just 1 hour early. (IIRC TSA isn't even available much earlier than that.)
Otherwise I'd probably aim for 90 minutes now.
@jzb @socallinuxexpo I’ll probably do 2ish+ because IAH in Houston is generally awful and it’s mid-day.
@katherined if you're flying from IAH on United, you may need to allow more time for congestion...
