@johns Are people allowed to use it outside Europe? I guess really there are two separate questions: can a European buy it in Europe but then travel outside Europe with it? And can a non-European buy it at all, whether or not they do so in Europe?

@kfogel I can say that I (a non-European) bought mine in Europe, and have used it both inside and outside Europe, with no discernible repercussions. However, it is on the larger side.

@johns I bought mine at Village Tannery in Manhattan (a simple purse-looking purse, not the cough men's crossbody shoulder bag cough monstrosity I stumbled across on the Net earlier today). It is the best thing ever, except maybe for the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic.
