Received one of the new Endless Creator retractable
a couple days ago.

Not a luxurious item -- feels...inexpensive. Also the knock is on crooked / bent / not flush to the barrel which is not a great look and leads to a weird noise when clicked. The hexagonal grip with the clip taking up a facet is a bold "there's only one right way to write" statement.

*But* the nib (most important part) exceeds my expectations and I'm enjoying writing with it. Inked with Robert Oster Whiskey.

@johns I received mine too. Have a similar complaint about the clip not being flush with the body and also really like the nib but my biggest complaint is that the nib dries out **really** fast. For me it's about 30s when extended. And requires a hard start every time. I think it's because of the small size of the feed. Wonder if yours has this issue too? I was going to write them a big email about it.

@pawandubey On mine, the cilp is okay, it's the knock on the back that is not attached flush. I haven't noticed the drying out, just tested with leaving it out for 30s - 1m and it worked okay. What ink do you have in it? It did take a hard start, though, to begin with.

@johns Thanks for confirming it might be my unit. I have Diamine's Majestic Blue. It's pretty wet when it does start going (after pushing ink into the feed) and does not stop if I stop for a few seconds in between, but bad otherwise. I will try changing to Waterman Serenity Blue. That is probably the most inoffensive ink I own.

The knock is okay for me, though it does rattle a bit and does not make a satisfying sound when clicking.

@pawandubey After further testing, it definitely hard starts after sitting for some days (< 1 week). And actual dried bits of ink came off the nib area -- never seen that before.

@johns Dang. I was hoping things were smooth for you. I did change my ink to Serenity Blue, and also noticed that the feed can actually slip out a little bit from its housing/sheath during the action of putting it back into the section, exposing some of the feed. I pushed it back in, and did not see the drying out, but I will need to test it with another ink to figure out if it was the ink or the exposed feed that's the culprit.

@johns Interesting, I'll have to look into it. I purchased a Pilot Vanishing Point and one of the Majohn knock-offs and have been very impressed with both of them actually. The Pilot is obviously better, but they're both quite fun. I've decided I really like retractable fountain pens now!
