since gnome-maps is not usable on #pinephonepro I am trying to compile #osmin on @mobian.

But stuck here:

[ 86%] Linking CXX executable osmin
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -llzma: No such file or directory
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

does anyone knows how to solve?

What I did so far is described here:

@pocketvj

Why is gnome maps "not usable" on the pinephonepro?

@mobian

@joao @pocketvj good question. It seems seems usable on the Pinephone with the caveat that it is only usable in online mode with plenty of data left.

@joao @mobian

it only works with mobile data, and does not show drinking water places, which does not bring any advantage compared to an online navigation website like brouter or mapcomplete....

@pocketvj @joao try puremaps (installable via flatpak). It is nifty and has multiple backends including offline data. We like it!

@pocketvj

So it works, but does not have the features you want for your use case.

That is different from the adjective: "not usable" ;)

@mobian

@joao @mobian

navigation not working without internet..... ok, got your point, fair enough ;)
