Let Lia Thomas swim by himself. Let Bud Light expire on the shelf. Let the Ford Raptor transition into a girl in someone else's garage. Let Target's tuck-friendly satan swimsuits hang on the rack forever. Raise the cost of wokeness so high that no organization -- no matter how powerful or dominant -- will be able to afford to promote it.

PSA, if someone asks you for contact info (e.g. a phone number) of someone you know, the correct response is "I can't give that to you, but I can give them yours".

It's efficient and adds no round-trips, it's privacy friendly, it's non-awkward and it's social engineering resistant. It's a universally good rule.

And the corollary, of course: Don't ask someone for another person's contact info - ask them to pass on yours.

The threat on the table with respect to the debt ceiling is default on the national debt.

There's no need to default on the national debt.

Let's say your credit card company calls and says they're freezing your card and you can't spend more money on credit. What happens then? Well, you can decide you're going to default and not pay your bills, but for me, that happened, and what I did wasn't defaulting, I cut my phone, I cut my Internet, I cut my food bill, and then I was able to make my critical payments and pay my debts.

At a routine 20 week ultrasound for my middle daughter, Sage, it appeared her head had stopped growing. I was told to come in 4 days later to remeasure, but we were also told also to prepare ourselves for “our options”.

I’m her mother, to keep going was the only option.

It turned out, she spent much of my pregnancy awkwardly sitting on her neck and was born with congenital torticollis, plagiocephally, and mandibular hypoplasia.

Sage required eight years of physical therapy at Shriner’s Hospital, and three months in a baby helmet.

Today, she is a healthy 12 year old honor student with a brilliant mind, and a gift for singing.

What @target is doing is far worse than anything Bud Light did. They are selling chest binders & "tuck-friendly" bathing suits for children.

Target is calling our bluff. But just like any other company, they need our business. We did it with Bud Light. Now it's Target's turn.

One issue that I have had with my since day one has been the wireless hotspot. Off and on, I try to take the time to troubleshoot the issue. Today, I had some time and I am on call which is when I need it most so I started looking at it. It worked first time without issue!!!
The only problem is, was it fixed by an update since the last time I looked at it, or did I fix it last time and not know it.
If I fixed it, I don't know what I did because it's been a couple of weeks.

Generally speaking #FoxNews parrots the talking points of the #GOP party. So maybe, with so many Republicans turning away from #FoxNews, it's signaling that the #GOP itself is out of touch with its voters.

These frauds are so used to their echo chambers that they just freesociate whatever they want, intellectual rigor be damned. Why wouldn't they? It's what's always worked since they're in echo chambers that doesn't demand anything but loyalty.

Forget about claims not supported by sourced evidence there aren't even claims made -- just conclusions that it's assumed everyone will agree with because everyone else is in the same echo chamber and agrees as a matter of cult affiliation.

The idea that the Republicans have become super radical just doesn't stand up to scrutiny, particularly when compared to the Democrats, destroying the core conclusion of these people. Since it's an unsupported conclusion, destroying the conclusion destroys the unsupported conclusions that are built around the core conclusion.

In 1992, the Republican view on abortion is that it was morally wrong and should be banned. In 2023, the Republican view on abortion is that it is morally wrong and should be banned. In 1992, the Republican view on gay marriage is that the constitution should be amended to ensure it was banned. In 2023, the Republican view on gay marriage is that it is settled law and shouldn't be banned. In 1992, the Republican view on borders was that they should be secured. In 2023, the Republican view on borders is that they should be secured. In 1992, the Republican view on taxes is that they should be cut across the board. In 2023, the Republican view is that they should be cut across the board. In 1992, the Republican view on reparations for slavery is that it's an absurd idea and the past should stay in the past. In 2023, the Republican view is that the past should stay in the past. In 1992, the Republican view on crime is that it's bad. In 2023, the Republican view on crime is that it's bad.

Meanwhile, in 1992 the Democrat view on abortion is "safe, legal, and rare" while the Democrat view in 2023 is that abortion to the moment of birth is acceptable and should abortion should be celebrated. In 1992, the Democrat view on gay marriage is that while the constitution shouldn't be amended it shouldn't be legal (And in 1996 Bill Clinton signed a "Defense Of Marriage Act" into law defining marriage as between one man and one woman) and that was the stance until Obama came out as in favor of gay marriage in 2012. Today, the Democrat view on gay marriage is that if you keep gay porn out of school libraries or think schools shouldn't be bringing kids to drag shows you're a hateful bigot. In 1992, the Democrats generally agreed that the borders should be secured. In 2023, the stance is to abolish ICE and give illegal immigrants the right to vote. In 1992, the Democrats view on reparations for slavery was that it was an absurd idea. In 2023, the Democrat view is that there should be serious consideration given to the idea of reparations. In 1992, the Democrat view on crime was that it's bad. In 2023, the Democrat view on crime is that maybe it isn't so bad after all -- many Democrat jurisdictions are effctively legalizing crime on a statutory level, and many DAs are refusing to prosecute crimes.

Does this mean the Republicans are great? Nope. Maybe their viewpoints are wrong -- and in a lot of ways they are. But it does mean that they really haven't changed their views all that much over decades and decades besides becoming more moderate, while especially in the past years the Democrats have gone loco.

A great party probably wouldn't look like either one, but this is what the Americans have, and unfortunately it's what the rest of us end up inheriting since they're the biggest bull in this china shop.

Dear developers: I don't want to use your app on my phone. I want a mobile web version, and you can do that.

Thanks kindly.

Before reading this, I did not careabout the writers' strike one way or the other. Now, I fully support the writers strike and I hope that it goes on indefinitely.

Unlike other fake news sites (Vice, Buzzfeed, Vox, CNN, etc.), the Babylon Bee is thriving. We brought in record-high ad revenue last month, and we've kept costs low by having women write all the ChatGPT prompts. (It takes time, but they do eventually get the hang of it).

Don't get me wrong, wokeness is awful, but it is a societal ill, which should be fought in society, rather than with government policies (in most cases).

I refuse to capitulate to the tribalism of the modern #GOP, which would have me accept authoritarianism so long as it's weaponized against people with bad ideas. The #USA was built on freedom, not punishing wrongthink.

It couldn't be any clearer...

Dear Women,
In case you didn't notice, Democrats hate you.

I've only recommended one VPN service, ever (and no, I don't have any financial relationship to them): Mullvad. They have always seemed to be one of the few entities that practices the mantra, "You don't have to protect what you don't collect."

This quite a press release:

"Mullvad VPN was subject to a search warrant. Customer data not compromised
20 April 2023 NEWS

On April 18 at least six police officers from the National Operations Department (NOA) of the Swedish Police visited the Mullvad VPN office in Gothenburg with a search warrant.
They intended to seize computers with customer data.

In line with our policies such customer data did not exist. We argued they had no reason to expect to find what they were looking for and any seizures would therefore be illegal under Swedish law. After demonstrating that this is indeed how our service works and them consulting the prosecutor they left without taking anything and without any customer information.

If they had taken something that would not have given them access to any customer information.

Mullvad has been operating our VPN service for over 14 years. This is the first time our offices have been visited with a search warrant."

You may be aware that @mattwalshblog had his @twitter account hacked last night.

What you may not know is that the attack went well beyond Twitter.

The hackers have managed to gain access to, well, everything, including twenty years of Matt's emails.

@drloupis Pronouns are virtue-signaling, so inevitably, as with all virtue-signaling, they will be used as a shield by bad humans
