I don't use any banking apps. I sign into my account through a web browser. If you require a banking app, then, yeah, might not be for you.
De-googling your life requires accepting some limitations and inconveniences. For me, it has been worth it.

@MisterMaker @thunderbird
I am replying from the linux based phone .
It isn't for everyone yet, but if you are looking to degoogle your life, it is an option to look into.
Another option would be to find an old compatible phone and put or degoogled android.

@QuietStorm
Group activities. People who are depressed should endeavor to be around people even if it is not what they want. Loneliness in a depressed person will turn to self loathing. Playing card games and board games with friends is a great activity because it forces you to be socially active and think about something other than what is depressing you.

@realcaseyrollins
Like I said, I haven't seen either one, so I am in no position to say one way or the other. Just seems that it would be fair to give people who have seen both the option of choosing.

@realcaseyrollins
I haven't seen either one yet, but why isn't "Good, because SoF is a better movie" not an option?

When _anyone_ spends their resources making something and then gives it away for _free_ they should be greeted firstly with gratitude. They should be greeted secondly with gratitude. They should be greeted lastly with gratitude.

Too much #FOSS #OpenSource community rage and contributor burnout stems from a strange forgetfulness that _no one_ has to contribute _anything_ this way. It's always a wonder. Let's chill out and be a little more kind and a lot more grateful.

@jeff @sevvie @midway Why do they have to be white and anglo saxon? I'm a black protestant, so not a #WASP, but I think the only tribe I fit neatly into is #Christian tbh

Ep. 10 Stay in your lane: our drive through South Central LA with Ice Cube.

(next episode: Ice Cube sits down with us at his studio)

If you think about it, the hollywood strike is sorta funny.

Hollywood writers and actors advocated for policies that destroyed everyone's wages and quality of life, now they're striking because their wages and quality of life have been destroyed.

But as many people have pointed out, in 2008 people let Hollywood into their homes, but that's not really the case in 2023.

@realcaseyrollins
A lot of people just don't want to give Disney any money at all.

@sethi
I use mutt on my phone with pgp encryption. I have geary for emails that have too much html content.

@realcaseyrollins
They are both owned by Disney, so in the end it really doesn't matter. That said, in the streaming tv space Hulu has better name recognition and less baggage.

@curtis
Fortunately for us, Russia invaded Ukraine and single handedly cured covid.

@yoshi
How is call quality? With my old PPP, whoever I talked to could hear their own echo. Has that been solved?

@realcaseyrollins
For some reason, I thought the writers strike had ended. I find it somewhat funny that it is still going on and I didn't realize it.
