@e8johan
I used the OG Pinephone as a daily driver for a year. I recommend using an installation with Phosh. I used but I have heard that works well also.
It is much more expensive, but the that I have now works very well as a daily driver also.

@jlcrawf my issue is the digital payments and ID services, Swish and BankID. So I will need support for Android / iOS apps. Sadly.

@e8johan
I get that. I haven't needed to try it but you might could use waydroid to run your banking apps. I would definitely test it on the pinephone before I bought the librem though.
Personally, I only log into my bank from a web browser on the computer. But I am probably more of an oddity in that, I avoid services that auto draft from my account. I go back and forth between using cash and my debit card for convenience, but cash is better for privacy.

@e8johan @jlcrawf I am daily driving a #linuxmobile, and stopped using a phone for BankID, and use a physical device connected to my key chain instead to get on time pins. Also I will not use mobile payment that is locked down to ios and android, even back when I ran android, as it is dependent on google services. I can use bank transfer or #monero instead.

@isyourbrainFOSS @jlcrawf my main use for BankID is the logins to other services. Eg insurance companies, online payments (klarna...), school platform for parent info, signing contracts online (I run a business), etc. Logging in to the bank is the small problem.

@e8johan @jlcrawf Me too, and that works just as well with a "code unit"/"kodebrikke" for BankID in Norway at least.

@isyourbrainFOSS @jlcrawf but the apps don't seem to launch properly from #kde #plasma. I need to go to #waydroid and launch them from there...

@e8johan @isyourbrainFOSS
I have never actually used waydroid, so I don't know if it works any better on phosh or not.

@isyourbrainFOSS @e8johan @jlcrawf@social.librem.one I am using a separate LineageOS phone for that. I never carry it around.
