Yesterday, my friend's son turned four. They had his party at the lake. Since there wasn't really an address to share, my friend sent me the GPS coordinates.
I plugged them into Puremaps and it led me straight there while I was also listening to a podcast.
and the have come a long way.

Yes. I have a pinephone pro that I can try other OSes on, but for my Librem5, I stick with PureOS.
There are two reasons for this.
1. It works.
2. I feel like the Librem5 is really close to being something that I could recommend to certain friends. I could not recommend it though if the first thing that they have to do is install a different OS.

@jlcrawf

Fair enough. I was mainly curious because if you were using PureOS, you were using some of the patches I made for geoclue. I am assuming based on your post that the geoclue fixes worked well.

@kop316
I had never actually tried using Puremaps before, so I can't say that anything was different, but I can say that it worked very well yesterday.

@jlcrawf

hahaha, trust me, it was different. Those patches are needed.

@jlcrawf

I always found Puremaps to have a good UI but never was great at giving me directions. Haven't tried it in a while though. Will have to give it another go.

I haven't hears of Organic maps. I tried OSM years ago but not recently so will have to retry that as well.
@PublicLewdness @jlcrawf With organicmaps
you can download all the maps to the phone
and run it all offline
