When I get my next phone, I will put #LineageOS on it.
When I got my current phone, I didn't put #LineageOS on it because I was afraid I'd brick my phone and spent a lot of time saving up for it. Now I have a big boy job, and while I'll still be limiting myself to getting a cheap phone, it'll be to the point where if I brick the phone, I can just buy another one

It isn't a cheap phone, but depending on your needs, the Librem5 is getting really close to being a decent daily driver. That would put in a debian based linux phone. (I am writing this from my Librem5).
