Impeachment the first time around was political suicide. They've already gone all in, don't be surprised if they try to double down.

@jlcrawf @Secftblgirl the whole paradigm of the house's approach this time around has not been traditional impeachment with its requirement of formally presenting a fully formed case for senate trial but rather one of social media mob shaming and manipulation toward the end of deplatforming

i agree: the dems have crossed the rubicon; the only thing which can redeem nancy schiff and nadler at this point is a dem presidential win; if they don't score a scalp, they risk losing the house as well
so expect the house to get more, not less crazy, particularly since they have the coordinating support of both the media (like the boton leaking nyt) and the deep state (like yevgeny vindman, the deep state mole whole likely both leaked then sequestered the manuscript - precisely the way the whistleblower was deployed)
expect unending post-acquital "not a fair trial" plus pre-second impeachment house intel & judiciary committee investigations in order to wholly bathe trump in "impeached forever" up to and through election day
we won't know until the repubs retake the house this year whether this was overreach
