With Apple Silicon M1 ARM chip being impressive performance wise, do you think there will come an ARM alternative for Linux as well? Is this success due to RISC architecture and clean slate situation (Vs having to support x86 bloat legacy) or has Apple made some unique breakthrough that cannot be beat by other processor makes? Asking #fedi

@movonw Apple has done something unique combining the system on a chip and making the OS smartly balance workloads to the appropriate cores. I don’t think we’ll see anything close in open ecosystem within a decade.
