Today is day 1 of taking my antidepressants. I don't feel anything yet? But I am told it takes a while to build up for any effects to be noticed... I know it is silly bc I would never think this of others, but I do feel like I failed bc I need meds. I'm so hard on myself.

@Cirucci I've been there. You're winning because you're reflecting on your needs and are taking action. You are not a victim of your own circumstance and are testing the waters for self-improvement. Yes, most SSRIs/SNRIs may take several weeks for any noticable effect, as your brain takes a while to adjust. My personal experience is that positive effects take a while whereas side-effects may onset fairly quickly (1-2 days with certain meds).
