Yesterday we saw #OnePlus8Series priced in the range of iPhones, & today #Apple announced #iPhoneSE2 that matched #OnePlus owners' budgets of generations past.
Welcome to 2020, anything can happen, nothing much surprises me anymore.
(following the coverage on my precious #FxtecPro1)
@cybette a lot of power in that new SE for the money me I preordered a pinephone ubports community edition even more budget friendly at 149.00 USD it ships in May I'll have it by end of may pine is the true budget friendly device
yep the pinephone is definitely the budget friendly device for geeks and hackers! but not so much for everyday folks though, so something like the SE would appeal to them more.
@cybette speaking of which have u ever owned a iphone of any kind
nope, never had an iphone. I had an iPad (2nd gen) from 2011-2013. The hardware was nice, and I enjoyed using it (mainly for entertainment but not for work). however when I gave it away, I didn't really miss it.
I did consider (briefly) getting an iPhone 11 recently due to the great cameras for images/video, but for the same price I can get a really good mirrorless camera (I don't really need the phone features of iPhone, I just like to have a compact and powerful camera).
how about you? have you had iPhones or iOS products in general?
@cybette I had the first ever iPhone that came out in 2007 but saw it was less functional than the Symbian stuff I was using at the time and didn't keep it long it's a slick package and they had a great marketer aka Steve jobs he could sell you anything lol. But I had mostly Symbian devices had 2 of the Maemo tablets then had a n900 aka my all time favorite then had a n9 some sailfish X devices typing this on my Xperia 10+ with SFOS now I'm gonna use a pinephone with ubports.
@cybette yeah I still have my 808 pureview back when Damian Dinning and team worked at Nokia
@jameshjacksonjr
and #PureView! (although that technology was never used in Maemo/MeeGo)
