Took a walk to the beach near my hotel, and my Pixel2 just died claiming low battery. When I booted it back up, battery level showed ~30%, but it kept shutting down until I got back indoors. So wait.... is 12C too cold now? It's not 12F or -12C! Time to get a new phone...

(anyway, this is the only pic I got before the phone died)

@cybette
The Pixel phones don't seem to be doing well for El Goog. Is yours the plain ol' 2 or the 2XL?

@cybette
That's sad, because it means your phone was made by my beloved HTC. 😞

@SlowRain oh yeah... well it's great in every way except the battery, and no device is perfect :P

@SlowRain not easily. I have a friend who had similar issues and sent her Pixel in and got a brand new replacement Pixel.

Shipping anything with Li-Ion batteries from Finland is a PITA, plus backing up, restoring stuff, and the downtime in between... too much hassle.

I miss the days of user-removable batteries in most phones.
