@hinton There’s no groundbreaking news yet, and living in Germany where MMS never took off (it’s still expensive here, 0,39 €/MMS on my contract), I can’t do a good job at reporting on that (and won’t do without a release of Chatty that claims “it works now”).
@linmob yeah, that's what I have been hearing. I use MMS almost exclusively with everyone I know here in the US. I interact with too many nontechnical individuals for me to start suggesting alternative messaging apps. Maybe someday MMS/RCS will work.
@hinton You should suggest encrypted alternatives though. They are plenty; if you're planning moving to a #LinuxPhone though, you would be best of with suggesting protocol based messengers like XMPP and Matrix, which arguably are more difficult with people. Don't let the people you interact with die stupid, educate them! 😉
