I'm a happy Thunderbird e-mail client user. Free and open source.

Now, interesting news about additional services from the Thunderbird team.

@hehemrin Looks nice, but...

- Will it be hosted in the USA?
- Will there be 2FA for checking the mail?

The way things are going I don't want my private stuff in the USA, neither do I want my mail to be accessible with a simple password, which is the way IMAP still works. So I'll most probably stick with @Tutanota

@kallekn @Tutanota Yep, details still to be seen, if the Thundermail will be most similar to Tuta and Proton, or more like Gmail and Outlookmail. At least the Thunderbird client can handle encryption, so reasonable their Thundermail will meet the "higher" standard. We'll see!
