I use Calibre for e-books and some more digital documents. Calibre keep its own copy of the documents. It can be exported from Calibre. What is your strategy, approach; do you only have the file within Calibre, or do you also keep a stand alone file in your ordinary folder system? Or, it depends case by case?

@anders So, it means you have the book/document in both Calibre and in Nextcloud as an ordinary file?

@hehemrin No I keep them in Zotero instead and sync with Nexcloud. The built in sync also compresses them so they don't consume most space on the server, yet sync over devices.

@anders Ok, I see, Zotero is another sw similar to Calibre.

@hehemrin yes but mainly designed for academic references management.

@hehemrin In Nextcloud it is compressed. The Zotero uncompresses it locally.
