In Hacker Public Radio pod episode hpr4259 :: Why digitize photos, I talked about eg digitize for archival and personal purposes.
Today I have digitized an older historical personal-family document (not photo in this case), and I went into a kind of archival strategy for this document. It meant the document envelope front side in C5 size alone created a file of about 2 GB size!
