so... is Fedora 40 any good?

I'm tired of having AI forced down my throat and need to know how y'all feel.

Throw Linux Distro recommendations at me. I need it to run steam and hopefully proton-supported games decently.

@Viss @da_667 I’ve been running Fedora forever. I would say it’s fine as long as you don’t need nvidia drivers

Honestly though, I would just run Debian if I was starting fresh

@joshbressers @da_667 rpm, yum and how that entire ecosystem handles dependencies and updates/upgrades to packages gives me hives.

i cant have the current version of apache because to do that i have to upgrade THE ENTIRE OPERATING SYSTEM?

@Viss @joshbressers @da_667 I’d recommend trying Project Bluefin. IMO it is the current best desktop Linux experience you are going to get, as long as your hardware is supported.

@kyle @Viss @da_667 I heard you talk about this on @katherined podcast, it sounds very impressive

If I want so lazy I probably would :)
