The biggest obstacle for me using #Linux to edit my scanned paintings is #Gimp. That app is a total train wreck. I absolutely loath it. It has the most cumbersome workflow, and in some cases, it's completely unusable. Yesterday, I finally bit the bullet and switched to #photopea, the browser-based editor. Not perfect either, but 100 times better than #thegimp.

I feel like the #FOSS community has a gaping hole in that app category. No, #krita is not the right app for it.

@eugenialoli Sorry to hear that. I cannot agree nor oppose you, only listen to your experience and use case. I use GIMP, but very little simply because I edit very little. But I for sure want to learn more about GIMP, and my other photo sw. Short list for my photo sw: digiKam, RawTherapee and GIMP.
