@vincent ...in a container... does it mean it is something else than Waydroid? If it something else or other specifics, I wouldn't mind if you explain more here, in a blog post, Purism forum or else. If it requires a Librem, Pure OS etc etc. I would like to have a Linux phone of some sort but some Android apps are likely needed one way or another, so I am curious.
@vincent Thanks, ok. I did some trials of Waydroid (on Debian) earlier this year, but I did not manage with a specific app. I think it might be that the PC has a different archtecture (x86) compared to a mobile. But my trial was not that very thoough so maybe I will try again.
@hehemrin I mentioned containers that because I used to have an analogous setup with a Chromebook in which I ran a full Linux desktop with a project called Crouton. It brought back fond memories!
Anyway you can try Waydroid on a Linux desktop too to see what works or not
