@micahilbery@coffeechat.lol I have noticed no Volla is 5G. But their latest, X23, was released this spring with first shipments this summer! I do not know when the Gigaset version it is based on was launched, nor when various components in it was released. But lack of 5G is a drawback. I guess "modern" depends on what you define as modern and that can only you decide... fine for me if you consider all of them non-modern, but at least it is only like 3 months since the latest model was released!
