@zak I use Linux partly since a couple of years. I intend to move to Linux as daily driver. Currently mainly on Lenovo ThinkPad. General concern with hw before testing is how it will work with Linux, incl eg BIOS that is not firstly intended for Linux (if not a dedicated Linux-developed machine). My ThinkPads have been purchased as refurbished. So far, with learning curve, Linux works well for me. (I write sometimes about my slow pace #WalkingToLinux: https://www.hemrin.com/walking-to-linux)
