"QAnon, adrift after Trump’s defeat, finds new life in Elon Musk’s Twitter"
I wonder how his tweets and acting as Twitter-owner will affect in particular the Tesla brand long term.
washingtonpost.com/technology/

@hehemrin Well, TSLA stock is tanking and since it is a publicly traded company I'm wondering when a lawsuit from stockholders will hold Musk accountable.

@madamscientist I haven’t thought of the lawsuit aspect, but you are right it makes sense (esp as it is traded in US where l understand lawsuits are common).

@madamscientist This new article is exactly about Tesla investors concern plus reputation issue; if Tesla may loose customers due to controversial tweets. "Some Tesla investors are concerned that Musk is focusing too much on the social media company and becoming more polarizing" washingtonpost.com/technology/

@hehemrin as the article points out, Musk is hurting the Tesla brand name. His behavior is driving away the people most likely to buy his cars. All those right wingers he’s courting only drive large gas guzzlers.

@hehemrin Well just this year he has tanked Tesla stocks. From $400 at the start of the year to $150ish now. Amazing when you alienate your core market what happens.

@alison Yes, and QAnon will hardly replace as core market. On the other hand, China is a big Tesla market, and the relation Musk-Tesla-Twitter-China is interesting (but I don’t have any conclusion).

@hehemrin I don't have anything on that market either but did read a piece here earlier about people here in Canada/US cancelling orders.

@hehemrin I expect it will have a big impact on their resale value as well.
