use of content warnings
@dani Who’s this “us” you’re speaking for?
It seems that there are a variety of ways to use content warnings here, and no one standard. I use my best judgment to avoid ambushing people with content that could be reasonably anticipated to cause harm or distress, while respecting my readers enough to not treat them like exceptionally fragile children. Others are free to use them differently, and I try to be polite enough not to scold them for it.

@mattblaze @dani I agree CW is smart to hide topics that can upset. But also good to only give heading for those interested in the topic to open. Or to hide book ending. Or dramatic effect. I think each instance may have both different Code of conduct re CW and different usage. Another thought, almost everything can be considered as politics, even a cat photo. So I agree to my best respectful judgement, and silence those we are afraid of.
