@zak I use Joplin note-taking app. I have Standard notes as well, but it's really Joplin I use.

@hehemrin I was considering it, but I landed on Standard Notes. I think they’re about equal in just about every way.

@hehemrin @zak I use Joplin as well as I was moving from Evernote, but I didn't see Standard Notes at the time. Is there a self hosting option for it?

I've not digged into it, but yes you can. See standardnotes.com/help/47/can-
For now, I only use the basic (free Standard notes, and I use it mostly as a quick scrabbling pad and not for longer and structured storage of notes. But I believe it is a serious alternative.
