@briankrebs Would probably shorten the length of gunman sprees in schools. Would also make it easier for gunmen to find a gun in schools. Hopefully it will save more lives than it takes away.

UT has done this for ages, and several states have followed in that path. I think this is a good idea. I also think it should be an immediate job loss if you take the gun off for any reason.
This is one of relatively few almost good ideas conservatives have had. Just make sure carrying is voluntary and mandate some level of training!
The main problem here is that I believe there was a study showing that teachers are more likely to shoot black students than white students. So very NOT okay.
No one is listening to my idea: all guns are kept in locked lockers in classrooms that can be remotely unlocked in the event of a bonafide attack.
