@jeremydebose Boosts are one of my favorite parts of Mastodon. It's like an algorithm-free way of getting curated new content.
I only turn them off when my feed gets too big, or someone is frankly a little spammy with it
@golemwire I turned off retweets on Twitter too. But here I just scroll through Local and Federated timelines for extra content. Being in a generic instance, most boosts I see are completely random stuff with no context. Like it’s all inside jokes for coding material or obscure shows/characters.
