Ok #Desktop peeps, here's you're opportunity to teach me a lesson or two X'-D
I usually rock i3wm for my own purposes (and even on my current work laptop, because it's a decade old), but for my new work machine, I'd rather give the appearance of being mainstream, if only not to wig other people out.
Both #Gnome and #KDE seem to have some decently functional tiling addons, and I'm decently comfortable with either one.
...
@RL_Dane I used to use 1.5x scaling, but have found that enabling large text from GNOME Tweaks (or GNOME Settings?) actually works very very well. It shrinks GNOME-style chunky touch-friendly widgets. And for some reason, pretty much every other GUI toolkit I use seems to adjust (based on the large text setting I suppose?). Electron apps don't always adjust on their own though; but just Ctrl+Underscore to scale it.
I may have made some other size adjustments to make my setup work that I forgot.
@golemwire
I'll keep that in mind if I go GNOME, thanks!
