I usually rock i3wm for my own purposes (and even on my current work laptop, because it's a decade old), but for my new work machine, I'd rather give the appearance of being mainstream, if only not to wig other people out.
Both #Gnome and #KDE seem to have some decently functional tiling addons, and I'm decently comfortable with either one.

My 17" panel will be 2560x1600, which is a bit highdpi for my needs (178ppi).
2x scaling might be a touch too chonky for me (89dpi), but something in the 1.5x range (119ppi) would be perfect.
Which desktop (not limited to Gnome & KDE) *currently* supports fractional scaling? I know both major ones have fractional scaling coming soon, but I don't recall if one of them already has it. I'll most likely be running EndeavourOS, so it should be decently current.

@RL_Dane I know that GNOME supports fractional scaling very well, with Wayland. I used to use it all the time, it was excellent. I think I used 1.5x.
