@gbryant Thanks for making these videos showing of NextCloud.

I have a bunch of files scattered on Dropbox. I have a bunch of calendar crap on iCloud. I have a bunch of other stuff on Google Drive.

I upgraded my server to have 2TB of storage. Installed NextCloud and Collabora Office.

It's just amazing! And I just discovered the Music Apps. I CAN BUILD MY PERSONAL SPOTIFY. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I spent my weekend building this. I am a happy man now.

The server runs :archlinux: because I'm also a mad man.

@ybalrid you're welcome, man man!

(Running Arch on a server does make you certifiable) ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Also, of you're looking to run your own Spotify, check out Jellyfin

@gbryant Arch is the disto that I dislike the least. It's the right mix between "every software ever is at my finger tips" and "nobody pre-configured crap in a way I dislike".

I'm also a huge Linux nerd and I have the free time to put with that.

But yeah I've been running Arch on a server since 2012 or 2013. Only had 2 breakage due to syntax change in a few config files (When Apache2 introduced the "Require All Granted" syntax if you are familiar with it)

@gbryant Oh and I'm going to take a look at jellyfin, but really, I do like the simplicity of copying files in the "Music" directory locally here, having them sync and being able to play them in the browser.

What I really need to take a look at is Music Player Deamon and give it the path to the nexcloud folder on the client side ๐Ÿ˜‰
