OK, #pinebookpro folks, my audio just stopped working for no obvious reason. I'm assuming it's not a hardware issue, since it was running previously.
None of the suggestions I've found on the wiki or forum so far have worked. Do I really need to open the thing up?
I've been getting mixed results on stock Debian but what seem to fix it every time is to run alsamixer from a terminal and changing the Audi device to the right one. Then I restart my browser.
I've had 0 losses of audio in Manjaro ARM so far but there's static pops. Which they are aware of.
@fssofdeath Good to know! I may play with the Manjaro build sometime soon. Gotta pick up an SD card to boot from so I can distro hop a bit. I might also put Chromium OS on SD, for my kid, since she starts school soon and they use Chromebooks (though I don't know if they actually use them in kindergarten).
How's your #pinebookpro doing?
I've given #chromiumos a try but my Google password is too long to enter everytime.
I've like #UbuntuARM with #MATE but it was inconsistent,
Still running #ManjaroARM from the MicroSD as my primary. I am thinking of putting it on the main drive and using MicroSD for #Debian instead.
@fssofdeath It's doing great. I haven't really had a chance to distro hop, but the factory Debian build is solid. I just ran the latest mrfixit update and everything is running smoothly.
Other than that weird audio glitch the other week, and the fact the Firefox occasionally doesn't launch properly (killing the process and retrying always fixes it), I haven't had any problems.
Best $300 laptop I've ever used.
Yeah I am incredibly satisfied with it.
I've had audio issues on my #librem13 with #Pop!_OS so the #PBPro has been my main content consuming machine and it's been great.
Seems that no matter what I do, I always go back to #manjaroarm I prefer to stock #debian a lot of it is due to #KDE it's such a nice DE
