I'm Eastern European, so I don't have any kind of colonial - white guilt, and you shouldn't either. The Islamic caliptahes did the same and they started the African slave trade 1000 years before the Transatlantic slave trade, but nobody cares. Should I blame the Turks for colonizing Eastern Europe?

@MirceaKitsune @purism Mastodon itself has its bad apples but that doesn't count because they represent the so called left-wing progressives. I've been on Gab for a little while and the vast majority of people don't deserve the Nazi label. I'm not very religious but if Christianity is considered Nazism then we live in a sad world. It's funny how most left-wingers don't dare to talk the same way about Islam, because of course that would be islamophobic.

@MirceaKitsune @purism That's the reason Fediverse won't see mass adoption, because it's worse for freedom of speech than Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime the so called progressives and LGBT people on Mastodon can bash Christianity and anything that hurts their little feelings all the time. Gargron is seeing Nazis everywhere. The leftists think they're justice warriors fighting racism and bigotry but they're actually causing more division and hostility with their intolerance.

@danie10 @randulo Unfortunately I still have to stick with WhatsApp because people are not willing to install another app. Many are saying they have nothing to hide. I had to tell my brother he can only call me on Signal in order to make him install the app.

@danie10 @randulo It's stupid that people rely on Facebook as their main communication method. I've lost touch with a lot of people when I canceled my Facebook account because of that. I think more people will leave Facebook if they ever take the time to read the TOS. It's terrible for privacy.

@heavenly_general@social.linux.pizza @Tutanota I use Tutanota and the service is impeccable. The app can run perfectly even on custom ROMs without Google play services and for some reason I don't get any spam at all. Degoogling my life was probably my best decision this year.

@danie10 the problem is the progressive leftists are labeling as extremists anyone who disagree with them. If you are a Christian or you have any conservative views you are Nazi and you should be banned. I'm not very religious myself but this situation is getting out of hand, they destroy lives for comments or even likes on social media. Look what happened in France, the players abandoned the game because the referee said the black guy.

@danie10 Most people leave Facebook and Twitter for platforms like Gab, Minds and Parler and not for fediverse to escape censorship. I remember when Facebook used to be just like Minds and Parler not very long ago.

@danie10 Gab is not a Nazi site. I'm not on Gab anymore but the virtute signaling leftists are so annoying. LGBT people on Mastodon are bashing Christianity and and anything that hurts their little feelings all the time and If you disagree you're a Nazi. The reason why I'm on Purism's instance is because I can't see what they're posting on the public timeline.

@danie10 yes, even the Android app is not ready yet. I refuse to use Facebook services these days even though my family and most of my friends are there. They went too far with the tracking and the data mining.
