I realize that the @GKCdaily@twitter.com account exists to share quotes from the work of G. K. Chesterton, but I find it both curious and problematic how often the account chooses to share Judeophobic rhetoric like this, without any commentary of condemnation.

Well, this tells you about the dude running the account (who is--shocker--also transphobic, made a nasty 'pronouns in bio' comment). AND it tells you a lot about Chesterton.

Remember that if the man is antisemitic, his Christian theology is, as well.

There's no 'separate the artist from the art' when it comes to interpreting a religion that came out of the religion of the people that he loathes.

Also I'm not arguing either way about the q because mostly you can't, probably, but also I am not the purity test proctor today

This is why the GKC canonization discussion bothers me.

There are much better Catholic role models, like a litany of Black nuns, for starters.

AFAICT, GKC is beloved by some Catholics for being sharp with words. I don't see the virtue in that.
