Lemmy (or another reddit-clone) maybe for topical discussions
Or xmpp/matrix/irc chat rooms for socializing with a specific group

Just frustrated. Came across two things today.
1) Fauci stating that Merck anti COVID pill study results were impressive because it showed 50% reduction in severe disease
2) NIH study on Ivermectin which concluded Moderate confidence of a 65% reduction in severe disease.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8248252/
The government purchased 1.7 million doses of Merck for use before is was even evaluated by the FDA.
Ivermectin, which are pennies per pill gets banned.

my friend's boss after finding out he got the varis from vax'd folks: "yeah, we need to get our boosters still."
@kgibson
can we crowdfund linus to leave the linux foundation? bonus points if he revokes their usage of his trademark in their name.

When I switched to keepass from a proprietary web-based password sync, I just decided to only migrate passwords as needed (and most often, didn't consult the original password db, but reset the passwords manually).
@austin
Why silence.im gets left behind? Because it doesn't work for isheep?

They just need to finish rewriting it in #rust. Any day now, it will be super-stable and wake dreams come true!

IDK, I think you're pretty normal... But being identifiable on public social media is just asking for trouble.

Maybe to get around content ID? I believe Children's content on Youtube usually as the comments automatically disabled.
This is a treasure trove of vaccine information, if you can read through this and still want vaccinated, then I guess more power to you!
@rose_myrtle
A more relevant example to you might be a church. At a certain growth stage, they might decide collectively to meet in a building rather than in different homes. Banning companies means the building's management can't be controlled by a board, but by one individual. It's a great potential for abuse of power.
@rose_myrtle
What is a company but a group of people?
If some group wanted to buy a farm together would you let them?
If they're banned from buying it collectively, they'll choose a member to be the 'holder', which would give *a single person* the power to arbitrarily remove any member.
Happy to meet you wherever you are on your journey (software or spiritual)
