There's new quick setting to toggle location services on/off and the ☕ quick setting can now disable itself after a certain amount of time:
1/x
The intervals for the caffeine quick setting can be configured via the mobile settings app:
2/x
Automatic brightness can now be toggled from the top panel and when enabled the brightness slider acts as an offset to the current brightness value. We also reworked how it is handled internally taking e.g. the brightness scale exported
by the kernel into account. There will be more fine tuning to this in upcoming releases. #Librem5 users, please check the end of this 🧵for a possible regression:
3/x
Speaking of brightness: The minimum value of the 🔦 slider can now be configured via hwdb/udev allowing one go to lower values then the former hardcoded 40%. The configuration is maintained in gmobile.
4/x
The mobile settings app now displays an icon for each quick setting you can enable and configure making them easier to identify:
5/x
The conf tweaks (aka @postmarketOS tweaks) part of mobile settings saw a bunch of fixes and the addition of the gtk3settings backend:
6/x
The ⏰ sound can now be configured in the mobile settings app when a compatible clock app is running:
7/x
The desktop portal's FileChooser now creates thumbnails when missing via a newly introduced thumbnailing service:
8/x
Further changes in other components:
phoc saw a bunch of robustness fixes and uses wlroots 0.19.2 now
stevia saw a bunch of important bug fixes related to session and backspace handling
feedbackd now handles the Google Pixel 3A XL better
gmobile's display-panel-run-phosh helper is now easier to use and can make screenshots. This should ease testing notch changes and adding new devices.
9/x
@phosh thanks for this!
A feature request: I know of at least one user who wants to switch to #LinuxMobile but cannot because they really need a screen reader (someone who is blind or almost blind). Is that something that could be implemented in phosh?
@eliasr @phosh It would be great to have but it is nothing we can pick up sensibly with our current resources to keep it in a reliably working state.
