The EU wants to decrypt your private data by 2030
EU's High-Level Group (HLG) carried on under the so-called Going Dark initiative. The group was tasked, by the EU Council in June 2023, to develop a strategic plan "on access to data for effective law enforcement."

@gtbarry it's very sad.
They seem to hade decided that the basic principle that must be enforced is that "police must be able to access all data".
That is incompatible with human rights.
I'm afraid they will end up making software freedom illegal. Having control of your own computer will not be allowed, people will only be allowed to use big-tech-controlled devices and big tech must follow their rules.
(It's not going to work, people will encrypt things anyway.)
