@seanfobbe hmm ok so we have one machine generating text trying to mimic what a human could have written, then that machine-generated text is fed into another machine that tries to process it, perhaps producing some other text as a result. It all seems pointless, nobody learned anything.
However it's not like nothing happened. Money was probably paid to Microsoft and/or Google (they are the winners here), and lots of computational resources were wasted.
@seanfobbe It would be much better to let students grade their own essays, as Phaedrus does in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. 🙂
