I want to show kids some good things about the internet. This is hard because there is so much bad, difficult and outright dangerous stuff out there. Looking for healthy things, the kind that do not involve any Big Tech company's sphere of influence.
So far I came up with these two things:
- Wikipedia
- OpenStreetMap
Are those good choices?
What else do you recommend?
@eliasr @leighelse I guess this does still involve Facebook, but the way community buy nothing groups rehome and recycle stuff with impressive efficiency
@eliasr All of the different maker communities are really cool (3D printing, raspberry pi, open software, writers groups, etc)
