Nice to see Mastodon getting noticed!

I only wish they would write a bit more about the free/libre software aspect of it. The license for the Mastodon source code is AGPL. It's free as in freedom, and that makes it so much better for democratization of social media. It's not just an alternative to Twitter, it's fundamentally different because it's free/libre software.
