luke smith, I often see people linking luke smiths videos, I hope this will make people think again. for me, it was enough when I saw hes black sun wallpapers on github along with all the racist and stupid shit he says in hes videos https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/mar/12/far-right-open-source-technology-censorship
I'm also not convinced, would like some example of Luke saying something racist or "far-right". I consider myself pretty "far-left" but I still appreciate Luke's videos, those I've seen, which I admit are not that many.
I do understand that Luke is an advocate for a decentralized web, but then so am I. The author of that article may think that is a "far-right" stance, I don't agree. I want a web that is not controlled by a few trillion-dollar companies. So does Luke, I guess.
@eliasr @gaogeg
he made some good videos a couple of years ago, but these days its mostly crap.
it wasnt this article that made me think about his far right stance, this is something i did suspect for a long time. it was enough for me when i saw his wallpapers with nazi symbols on github, which then was removed almost a year ago.
and on top of this; i dont like his elitist way of talking about stuff.
