@Walter8100000 @noelreports An armed boat and its crew should still be significantly more expensive than a drone.

Additionally, it's possible that the boat engaged the drone while it was en route to a higher priority target, so it was better to hit something rather than get destroyed.

@Lingondraken @noelreports This. The only peace that Russia's leadership respects is one enforced with hard power.

@JSharp1436 @noelreports Not necessarily. Few months ago Ukraine used Polish Warmate loitering munition on Russian soil.I suspect that Poland, Baltics, Czechia, etc. either never put such restrictions on Ukraine, or lifted them a long time ago.

@Lioh @fsfe I don't even know any accounts of government institutions. And ideally this should vary per translation, so that example government accounts are in local languages (if any exist).

I tried to at least file bugs, but there is no option to create an account. If you have an account there, could you please file bugs on my behalf? I guess you can just copy&paste my comments, it should be enough.

@Lioh @fsfe They are just quotes, they aren't even clickable links to fedi posts, let alone accounts.

@fsfe Also every translation still links to tour.fediverse.at, which is only available in German. I assume this is not a big deal for Swiss readers, but unfortunate for readers of translations.

@fsfe Have you considered linking a few example accounts? This would give people a more tangible idea of what would their profiles look like in fediverse.

@Robertcw @eff Why couldn't aftermarket parts be used? If it's something safety-critical, then obviously these should be certified parts, but they can still be made by a different company.

@mariedocet @noelreports I assume they were delivered under presidential drawdown authority.

@GreenFire @noelreports I think they are mirrored from Twitter, which is why they lack CWs and fedi tags.

@GreenFire @noelreports On platforms where algorithms decide what you see, those accounts might simply be victims of Russian bots gaming the algorithm to suppress pro-Ukrainian content.

Bots are sometimes also doing mass reporting campaigns. For example, translated clones of Reporting From Ukraine YouTube channel are reportedly under such attack.

On many platforms content with multiple reports is temporarily hidden, even if ultimately those reports get dismissed.

@ukrdef Double tap is a legitimate tactic when both taps target soldiers on a battlefield. When targeting civilians, it is a war crime.

@noelreports That touch of EW changed their cope house into a cope home.

@noelreports It's Russia's invasion that poses a risk to global petroleum product markets.

@ned I don't plan to ever purchase a streaming platform subscription. I try to keep and play all my music locally, though I do use YouTube to discover new music.

@kfury A lot of media will fail this test and you don't even have to be much of an expert. Sometimes it even happens when the incorrect stuff is the main focus of the material.

@openstreetmap I appreciate you not excluding religious holidays from holiday posting.
