IDK what he was wearing, but colorful tape armbands are not parts of internationally recognized uniforms. I suspect Russian soldiers simply did not recognize the camo pattern he was wearing as Ukrainian.

And yes, this is a glimpse of the brutality of war. People are being killed like this every day. More pressure needs to be put on Putin.
